RBC rebrands as ‘Royal Brunei Culinary’, launches Brunei’s largest central kitchen.

Bandar Seri Begawan, December 8th, 2020 – Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd held a launching ceremony to officiate the opening of its state-of-the-art Central Kitchen which is set to be largest of its kind in Brunei Darussalam and new brand identity and logo to  ‘Royal Brunei Culinary’ (RBC).

The rebranding reflects RBC’s elevated vision to provide the highest quality culinary services and food solutions that truly delivers the ‘Taste of Modern Brunei’. The elegant aroma mark on RBC’s new logo reflects RBC’s culinary roots and deep ties to Brunei Heritage.

The Central Kitchen will play a critical role to deliver RBC’s elevated vision.  Situated on a 2-hectare plot at Lambak Kanan West Industrial Site, the 110 thousand foot facility will consolidate RBC’s corporate office and kitchen operations for its healthcare, airlines and retail business segments. Soon to be a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (“HACCP”) certified facility, the Central Kitchen will double RBC’s production capacity and improve  operational efficiencies, allowing the company to cater for future growth opportunities, thus elevating RBC’s competitiveness to both domestic and international customers.

The ceremony was graced by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II as the Guest of Honour  and accompanied by Special Guest, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Md. Isham Bin Haji Jaafar - Minister of Health. Also in attendance was Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Dr. Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy cum Chairman of RBC, Senior Government Officials, Members of the Board of Directors of RBC and Senior Management of Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd & RBC.

In his welcoming speech, Yang Mulia Haji Jeff Hadiman bin Dato Paduka Haji Danial, General Manager of RBC stated, “With the Central Kitchen, we unlock significant capacity, and this is key for our growth and expansion plans. It will also allow us to enhance our creativity and innovation, as we will have the largest concentration of culinary minds in the country gathered under one roof.”

Following that, the Guest of Honour and Special Guest unveiled the RBC’s new brand identity. As part and parcel of Royal Brunei Culinary, a new signage for the Central Kitchen facility was also presented along with RBC's chefs showcasing their updated uniforms, adapted to suit the modern concept. The Guest of Honour and Special Guest then cut the ribbon to officiate the opening of the Central Kitchen.

The event proceeded with a tour of the Central Kitchen facility in which guests were provided a showcase of RBC’s culinary excellence with live cooking demonstrations by RBC’s chefs.
